Giving & Custody Disclosure
NCF is the custodian and 501(c)(3) of record
Every nonprofit accepted into Converge holds a Single-Charity Fund (SCF) at the National Christian Foundation (NCF). When you give, your contribution is made donor-directed to that NCF Single-Charity Fund. NCF — not Converge — is the 501(c)(3) that takes custody of your gift and issues the tax-deductible receipt.
Converge does not hold or route charitable funds
Converge never custodies, escrows, routes, or takes a cut of charitable gifts. The only money Converge collects via Stripe is the annual membership fees — one for donors, one for nonprofits. We coordinate. NCF custodies. The ministry receives.
What Converge does do
- Records your gift intent so the right people can see it.
- Assigns an in-house gatekeeper to coordinate the transfer with NCF.
- Tracks status — pledged → at NCF → granted → received → reconciled.
- Communicates back to you when each milestone is reached.
Where to receive your tax receipt
NCF issues your charitable receipt directly. If you do not receive it within 10 business days of NCF receiving your contribution, your Converge gatekeeper can help follow up.
